Ajax enabled comments for Movabletype

Hey, this post is vintage content. It dates back more than 19 years ago: it may contain outdated and inaccurate information.

Note: a complete explanation of how this works is available.

Inspired by an entry of Anatoly Papirovsky, I was curious about implementing Ajax enabled comments on Movabletype: can Movabletype users implement comments that take advantage of Ajax?

Yes! With indeed little hard work, also without server side scripting languages.

The technique that I have adopted is still in phase of testing, but if you find interesting this thing, try to comment this post, eventually indicating which browser you are using and if there are problems: what you will write should be posted in the comments list without reloading the page.

I’ll soon explain how all this work.
