Tuning: how to fly with Firefox

Hey, this post is vintage content. It dates back more than 19 years ago: it may contain outdated and inaccurate information.

I am quoting directly from a comment by Nicola at the post on the arrival of the long-awaited first version of Firefox:

Type in the address bar about:config: a page with all configuration strings opens. Now look for network.http.pipelining, double-click on it and false becomes true true.

Let's move on... the string below should be network.http.pipelining.maxrequests. Change the final value to a value between 10 and 34 (test). The last string ? browser.turbo.enabled; click twice: again the value will change from false to true true.

Restart Firefox and fly...

And if you want to go deeper, take some time and have a look at this thread of the mozillaZine.
