Hakodate

Here: I put this picture here, because this mixture of chaos and silence, of disorder and stillness, is a condition I often chase. I mark it here. Sometimes I dream about it.

Chaos and silence, I find them in the woods: everything grows, everything changes, there is an order to the things in the woods, but it is almost unseen. The trees pointing coperatively toward the sky give an impression of meaning, there seems to be a pattern. But it is in the underbrush, naturalists say, that things happen.
