It gets dark over snowy New York
As it gets dark, New York becomes another: it turns into Gotham. As we walked around the city, one step after another, one stop to warm up after another, we carried "New York is a window without curtains", a small, dense book by Paolo Cognetti.
The book was a guide to experiencing the New York of streets, of flat connections, very useful for us who - cinematically overwhelmed - end up imagining it from a bird's eye view, made of skylines and lines that always extend upwards.
Paolo's blog is here.
The photo, however, is taken at the corner of Houston Street and Essex Street.
